The Fibrelight MOB Dummy is a training aid to assist users to practice recovering an unconscious man overboard with the Fibrelight Cradles.
The Fibrelight Dummy can also be used in any water based training activity.
The Fibrelight Dummy is designed to be filled with water to the desired weight for training, yet folded flat and take up a little amount of space when not is use.
The Fibrelight MOB Dummy is filled with water to the desired weight level via the head opening from buckets or a deck hose. The neck of the Dummy is then rolled up and fastened forcing an air pocket into the Dummy; this along with the closed-celled foam will give buoyancy. The Dummy should then be carefully placed overboard feet first; this gives the Dummy a realistic ‘head up’ form in the water.
The Fibrelight Dummy has been fitted with straps across its body and legs to aid with the recovery, these allow a hook or pole to be inserted into a loop to bring the Dummy alongside the vessel before it the recovery drills are then performed with the Fibrelight Cradle.
Once training is complete the Fibrelight Dummy can be emptied of water via the neck opening, rinsed with fresh water and then dried before being rolled up and stowed away.
