The 5 horizontal straps secure the casualty whilst the sliding head and neck support enhances the spinal protection.
The lowest strap is longer in order to allow a figure of eight wrap to be used around the lower limbs to prevent the casualty from twisting.

The Fibrelight Folding Stretcher is manufactured using re-enforcing tubes of carbon fibre joined by Kevlar lined shock cord.
The tubes are enclosed within PVC sections that snap together when deployed.
The result is a device that is very strong yet still lightweight and compact. The material is wipe and spray clean as well as rot and mildew resistant.
The Stretcher has been snatch tested over 10,000 cycles with no deterioration.
The webbing has tested against UV light, oil resistance and practical performance.
The Folding Stretcher is supplied in a lightweight easy access bag which can be worn as a rucksack, shoulder bag or attached via MOLLE to a military rucksack.
